Having saggy breasts is not visually appealing and is something that many women want to avoid when they reach an older age or while going through the natural changes that occur in the body as it develops. Sagging breasts may develop as a result of wearing bras that don’t fit well, poor posture, aging, pregnancy, and nursing and it can adversely affect how women view themselves.
By combining a breast lift with implants, however, women can successfully restructure their breasts to make them more aesthetically pleasing and appear exactly how they want it. This includes improving, the size, shape, and contours of the breasts.
Placement and Volume
Combining the two procedures is a common practice and works well on the breasts as it not only prioritizes the placement of the breasts, but it also adds volume. Through comprehensive enhancement, the procedure can help elevate the breasts and eliminate any excess skin and fat that causes the sagging appearance. The breasts are then reshaped to look more symmetrical.
Prior to the Surgery
Before you can undergo the surgery, you must begin the process by scheduling a consultation with an experienced surgeon. During your initial consultation, your surgeon will assess your body and talk to you about your goals. Based on your proportions and desires, your surgeon will construct a customized plan suited to your individual needs.
You will also receive a set of instructions that you will need to adhere to in order to prepare for the procedure. These instructions may require you to stop smoking, stop taking certain medications, and to avoid getting pregnant. If you plan on having children sometime in the future, your surgeon may suggest postponing the procedure to a later date.
During the Procedure
While the breast tissue is lifted, your surgeon will also reposition the areola to give it an improved appearance. He will then make an incision to insert the implants. The incisions are strategically placed to limit the noticeable appearance of post-surgical marks. After the procedure is completed, your surgeon will close them with sutures.
After the Surgery
After the procedure, your breasts will need the proper amount of time to heal before you can see your final results. You may experienced some discomfort, but it will subside in time. In case it becomes too uncomfortable, you surgeon can prescribe medication to help ease the problem.
During your period of recovery, you will not be able to wear firm fitting bras for a couple of weeks. Your surgeon will provide supportive garments to help ensure proper healing, comfort, and support. During this period, one must not indulge in vigorous activities or strain the breasts in ways that will affect your outcome.
