Micropeel – Types of Peels – Inland Empire

Micropeels are a specific type of chemical peel. In general, chemical peels are a cosmetic procedure that improves the skin’s texture and tone by gently removing dead skin layers with a topical solution. The layer of skin left behind is smoother, refreshed and more youthful.

There is a variety of more than five types of chemical peel solutions. Typically, the procedure is a 30-minute process where a trained practitioner like Dr. Troy Andreasen will carefully measure out and apply a chemical solution to the area of the skin to be treated. Micropeels are simply a more-potent solution compared to most skin-care products. There are various types of chemical formulas like Alpha hydroxy acids, beta hydroxy acids or retinoic acids that are chosen based on your type of skin and the goals of your peel.
