Breast augmentation is a popular procedure that provides patients with exciting results. Recently, there have been some new developments with silicone implants. The Mentor Corporation has announced that the warranty for their silicone implants now covers capsular contracture.
Capsular contracture is a common complication with breast augmentation, but under the new warranty, replacement silicone implants are provided if capsular contracture occurs during the first three years after the procedure. The new warranty also offers $3,500 in financial assistance if capsular contracture occurs in the first ten years.
