Procedure
There are two types of incisions Dr. Andreasen offers: endoscopic or coronal.
Endoscopic
The endoscopic technique uses a small device with a video attachment. This technique allows the tissue and muscle beneath the skin to be manipulated in a way that hides the visible forehead wrinkles and furrows. This incision generally has a faster recovery rate and minimal bruising when compared to the coronal approach.
Coronal
The coronal brow lift approach, often called the classic technique, makes an incision from ear to ear to the middle of the hairline, allowing the resulting scar to be easily concealed within the hairline. Once the incision is complete, the forehead skin is then lifted, and muscle adjustment is made to correct wrinkles and lines near the forehead, eyes, and nose.
